Amie by Pure Prairie League. There’s alot of guitar parts! It was originally recorded on a Teac 4 track in Craig Fuller’s living room according to rumor. I have not confirmed that. Anyways, it is a great song, imo, with lots to play! A lil flat picking as well…I love flatpicking!
Tough one. I listen to Paul Simon/S & G a lot. If I had to pick just one to play over and over it would be You Can Call Me Al. Love the record cover!
Creedence Clearwater Revival—Have you Ever Seen the Rain.
My listening pleasure crosses most all genres. I love Diary of Jane by Breaking Benjamin and Linger by the Cranberries. So many songs, I can’t list them all.
No song fits that category. I’ve gotta have variety. Lilah is the current song that comes closest.
I can be a bit nutty and when I love a song, I look to see who else tries to sing it. I Love Somethin’ Else by Eddie Cochran so now I have about 12 versions of the song…Tom Petty and the Stray Cats, Led Zeppelin.UFO,Pete Way, Roger & the Wild Horses & Rosie Flores, Bluejays and Little Richard &Tanya Tucker all rock it out.
Led Zeppelin- Kashmir
Rush-Tom Sawyer
Rush – Closer to the Heart.
It started out pretty bare bones, but as time goes on I’m finding ways to incorporate a few more runs to more closely mimic the guitar parts. A representation only, not a true cover. I can only do so much as an amateur musician on a dulcimer with only 3 strings after all, lol.
