Hello Treasonites!

We’d REALLY love to hear from you on this one, so PLEASE hit that comments section!

Who is your favorite guitarist? We don’t necessarily mean who you think is technically the greatest in terms of skill or proficiency… but rather, which guitarist just “DOES IT” for you. Could be  al ead guitarist… a rhythm player… a bassist.. whatever.

And if it’s just too hard to pick just one… maybe three.. Go for it!

So….

Katie

Funny you should ask that. I just finished listening to the 50 top guitar greats as voted by Sirius listeners. Eddie Van Halen was number one. I have always liked Mark Knopfler.

Rick Smith

I’m old school. Stephen Stills is my # 1 with a very tight close 2nd with Justin Hayward.

Michael

Tommy Emmanuel

Bill Boys

I’m not qualified to answer this question, but that’s never stopped me before. LOL. Because of the sound he was able to get in the recording studio, I like Brian May. He made Queen bigger than Queen was and gave Queen a powerful sound that matched Mercury’s huge vocals. Having said that, Both Elm Treason guitarists have gotten me to listen to their lead breaks more, because of the obvious thought and creativity they put into all their lead breaks. You have made me concentrate on listening to the music whereas I have always be led around by only vocals in the past.

shelley stewart

That is basically what I said Bill regarding Bobby and Andy and th ank you Iforgot about Brian May and I have to agree with you in that as well!

Bill Boys

I noticed you said Dickie Betts. He is a great one.

I don’t have a favorite, to many greats to even comprehend. All of the bands that I like, and I like so many bands that I can’t name them all, over 60 years worth, from then rite up to today, all have great guitar players, even some whose names I don’t know. Guitarist for Alice Cooper, David Bowie.
New guys would be Derrick Trucks, Kenny Wayne Shepherd to many there again.
Yous guys are pretty darn good as well, keep on keepin’ on.😎✌️

Jerry

Jerry Garcia, Buck Dharma, Roy Buchanan

Barb Hill

Slash-fromGNR, CHUCK Berry, and David Gilmour

shelley stewart

I agree with about Slash and was going to mention him but…just could not name them allLOL

shelley stewart

Dickie Betts on the slide and wh or what guitars make that sedxy sound on Scorpions power ballads. I love it when the guitar seems to be singing to you, des that make sense? Truthfully, the first time in well forever, when I listened to Elm Treason my mouth stood open and I was saying to my selfI cannot believe what these 2 guys can do with a guitar…I was in awe and honestly it was the first time when guitar work out ranked t he words at the beginning! So I must say Andy Roman and Bobby Steel get my vote!

Cindy Findlater

may not be the best, but i can groove to santana all day
