TREASON NOODLES
– No big news, breakthroughs or tasty tidbits to pass on. Just continued work on “WITHOUT A TRIBE,” our next studio album.
PLEASE TAKE PART IN OUR SURVEY
If you’ve already participated in this survey via the UPTOWN Q Facebook Group, please keep scrolling…
THE WHAT
We are contemplating (rather seriously) creating a membership site with exclusive content that we would update and contribute to regularly. It would be a monthly subscription kind of deal, beginning at $1.00 a month.
THE WHY
We need to establish a reliable revenue stream so we can keep doing what we do the way we do it. Our thinking is that offering desirable – and exclusive – content for those who really dig Elm Treason is a potential win-win situation for fans and band alike.
THE SURVEY
We have published a survey we would love for you take. It’s 9 questions long. 7 are of the “check box” and “multiple choice” variety. The other two are optional “write in” inquiries. It’s COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS.
This is a feeler to see what people think of the idea.
We appreciate it more than you know.

Again, THANKS!

Well, for me the most iconic is the Sticky Fingers album with the actual zipper in the cover. Genius! Instead of alienating female consumers, they baited them, all in the name of the almighty dollar. But obviously the real zipper would rub or scratch the vinyl during shipping as alot of consumers experienced. They eventually scrapped the real zipper for a picture.
Hard to argue with that one. I (Andy) have always loved that cover.
Iconic, indeed.
I do have an original issue LP… but the condition is….. “well lived.”
Metallica, ride the lightning.
Love that cover, too, Christine.
It may be their most famous cover… or even their best.
Fleetwood Mac Rumours – it’s artsy and humorous; Van Halen MCMLXXXIV – yes, un’PC, but I like it anyway. Honorable mention: Foghat Fool for the City; CCR Mardi Gras; Janis Joplin’s Greatest Hits – just because.
Rumors is SOOOOOO ICONIC.
Love your list of covers, Katie. I (Andy) adore the 1984 cover. Let the political incorrectness fly!!!!
The one that sticks out in my mind the most, from my youth, is KISS – Destroyer.
That image will forever live in my (Andy’s) mind. It was everywhere when I was a boy.
It’s really cheesy but I really like the Rock and Roll Over cover.
Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon. It’s iconic.
There is hardly any other cover as iconic, so woven into the fabric of the culture at large.
News of the World
Queen
Good call, Kim. Love it.
I like the Vargas girl on the cars album cover and believe that one’s called Candy-o,pink floyd had good ones, tull had some good ones, beatles, sgnt peppers and magical mystery tour.. album cover art is definitely been a big part of the deal since the ’60s some of the concept album art with a scene depicting. Who could forget who’s next, now I have to pee ????????????
Hahaha!
On my way to the loo as we speak.
Album art was such a big part of my (Andy’s) life growing up. The hours I would spend studying the covers, reading the liner notes, ingesting the photos…. It was all part of the experience.
Let your hair downSteve Miller(clever and made me laugh out loud); Rumours, Fleetwood Mac, classy; Diamond Dogs, Bowie Zeppelin 4, reminds me of my Lord of the Rings poster in colouring and style; Elm Treason, Rhyme and Treason and Voice of Treason
Hi Shelley!
I actually love each and every cover you mentioned.
DIAMOND DOGS is one of my all time faves flat out.
And man oh man…. You sent a few shivers down the old spine mentioning the ELM TREASON covers.
My smile is wide.
Was looking through my records and thinking there is a lot that I wouldn’t listen to again, but I love the covers of J.J Cale Naturally and the open up of Moontan Golden Earring is pretty awesome and Box of Frogs is not too shabby. Humble Pie the best is a lot of fun..
Hi Ellen!
It’s funny….
I (Andy) was recently going through my album collection… just for fun… and I realized I have so many records I haven’t even looked at in years…..A good number of them I can’t imagine listening to any time soon…
Album covers? Jeff Beck – Wired, David Bowie – Aladdin Sane, Alice Cooper – Killer, Yes – Close To The Edge, ELP – Brain Salad Surgery, Iggy and the Stooges – Raw Power, Jethro Tull – Thick As A Brick.
Favorite album covers: Rush Fly by Night. Yes has some great ones Tales of Topographic Oceans, Relayer. Beatles SGT Pepper There’s more but that’s all I can think of at the moment.
