THE ELM TREASON NEWSLETTER NO. 6

Three GREAT Guitarist Jokes
1. “How many blues guitarists does it take to screw in a light bulb? Five. One to screw in the light bulb, and four to say, “I can do that.”
2. “How can you tell if the stage is level? The guitarist is drooling out of both sides of his mouth.”
3. What’s the similarity between a guitarist and a court case? Everyone is releived when the case is closed!
Politically Incorrect Treason?
So, back during the days when we were learning how to navigate social media and promote our first album, “DAYS OF REACTION,” we were following a “Vintage Vibe” model. Our motto, in fact, was “The New Vintage.” (We were just starting out, so cut us some slack…)
Our approach was, “Love your rock and roll again!” and phrases like that.
We decided it would be cool and eye-catching to go with a vintage artwork motif. Specifically, we went with a classic “beautiful, sexy girl” approach for many of our ads. It proved fairly successful.
But the world has changed so much in a short period of time.
We wonder…. Could we orchestrate such a campaign today? Is this too antiquated an approach anymore?
Your Input: This Involves You!
We have decided we WILL be doing a LIVE FACEBOOK feed in early July from Texas! (If you can’t catch it live, we will be posting it to our FACEBOOK page, as well as here in the Newsletter, so you don’t miss it).
We want (and need) your direct input here.
What would you like us to be doing during this feed? A live Q&A? Phone In? Live Songs? Requests in Real Time?
We want to know what YOU would like to see.
Our First Promo
Wow, indeed! Flashback time!
Goin’ back to the mid teens for this one. (That long ago?)
Here is the first video promo we ever did – talking about our then upcoming FIRST ALBUM “Days of Reaction.”
A little over a minute long. Pretty funny stuff.
PHOTO OF THE WEEK

Some childhood pleasures need NO explaination.
This week, Andy has a turn in the “literary corner,” sharing a story involving power chords…. and sex.
