THE ELM TREASON NEWSLETTER NUMBER 57

MAY 20, 2022

ELM TREASON NEWS

Quiet week.

Work on the new album continues.

Your Input: What song gets played?

Here you are. Kicking back. The rest of the world is NOT ALLOWED the penetrate this sanctuary of a space. This is EXACTLY the  scene out in front of you.

There are many, many songs that could (or would) fit the mood.

But for THIS exercise, pick ONLY ONE.

What’s the first song you break out that fits the scene perfectly for you?

Hit that comments section! It’s all yours.

It is so peaceful there I can just imagine sitting in a rocking chair listening to just music no words…So my song would have to be Requiem to John Hurt by John Fahey, I can just feel it heaven on earth…

Not a song but I poem I wrote after being inspired by a similar picture:

It appears I’m peering at part of a pier
while preparing to party with people not here.
Perplexed and perturbed by the popular fear
that the ending is pending and probably near,
I propose a position on paper so clear
as to properly dispel the panic and fear,
a ponderous poem, a worm for your ear.
The purpose, to pause… at the end of the pier.
