Across the Universe
Nothing’s gonna change my world.
Sitting on the dock of the bay
Watching the ships roll in… then I watch them roll away again…
Thanks for reminding me of how much I love Hootie and the Blowfish!
Hi Nisha! You are so VERY welcome. 🙂
Endless summer nights
Hi Barb! You talking about the Richard Marx tune?
Smoke on the water – Deep Purple
Some stupid with a flare gun burned the place to the ground.
Smoke on the water.
Fire in the sky…
Moon Dance
“And all the leaves on the trees are falling to the sound of the breezes that blow. You know I’m tryin’ to please to the calling of your heartstrings that play soft and low…”
When I look at this scene, my first thought was : Vincent, by Don McClean
“Starry, starry night flaming flowers that brightly blaze, Swirling clouds in violet haze reflect in Vincent’s eyes of china blue…”
Into the Mystic
My second choice and an amazing song
“Hark now, hear the sailors cry, Smell the sea and feel the sky, Let your soul and spirit fly Into the mystic..”
RUSH – The Garden
“In the fullness of time, a garden to nurture and protect. It’s a measure of a life.”
It is so peaceful there I can just imagine sitting in a rocking chair listening to just music no words…So my song would have to be Requiem to John Hurt by John Fahey, I can just feel it heaven on earth…
Beautiful, Ellen. Perfect.
Fat old sun
Sensational pick. “When that fat old sun in the sky is falling. Summer evenin’ birds are calling children’s laughter in my ears…The last sunlight disappears…”
Moonshadow
“Yes, I’m being followed by a moonshadow…Moonshadow, moonshadow… Leaping and hopping on a moonshadow…Moonshadow, moonshadow…”
Dee by Randy Rhoads
Just a beautiful piece, Phil.
audioslave doesn’t remind me
Hi Cindy!
I (Andy) am a bit slow. I admit it. My brain and I are often at odds. LOL.
What did you mean by “Audioslave doesn’t remind me..”
Not a song but I poem I wrote after being inspired by a similar picture:
It appears I’m peering at part of a pier
while preparing to party with people not here.
Perplexed and perturbed by the popular fear
that the ending is pending and probably near,
I propose a position on paper so clear
as to properly dispel the panic and fear,
a ponderous poem, a worm for your ear.
The purpose, to pause… at the end of the pier.
Love it.
Consider it peer reviewed … with an excellent review.
