GROOVY NOODLES

THE ELM TREASON NEWSLETTER NUMBER 50

APRIL 1, 2022

Can you believe it? FIFTY??!!

Any one who knows us or has been fans of the band for a while know that we have tried on a few occasions over the years to deliver a regular newsletter.

We have 100% consistent in this endeavor.

We have failed every time… that is, up until now.

THIS TIME, we have reached issue NUMBER FIFTY!! Can you DIG IT

And we haven’t missed a week since we started! (For those who doubt miracles, this fact alone should at least keep your mind opened to the possibility).

Of course, all the success is directly attributed to you who have faithfully come back week after week.

Thank you so much.

Latest Band Stuff!

So, a few exclusive band things to share with you…

1. We are thinking of having an album art contest for our next studio album release. This will be TRUE audience participation! We will ask people to design an album cover and submit it. The winner will win a copy of the album on both CD and vinyl as well as a few other goodies. For those who submit their work and do not win, they will still be forever enshrined on the album! Within the liner notes and inserts, we will include images the top 10 entries, eternally making them a part of the record.

2. Next week, we will be launching our “by-invite-only” private Facebook Group. We will be sending out links and will also have a way of signing up in next week’s newsletter. Looking forward to this!

3. We have another idea we are toying with – an EP (or maxi-single) featuring maybe three or four songs performed live (like we did on our BARE TONES album), but featuring original songs NOT AVAILABLE on any other album. It’s something we’re thinking about…

4. Andy and family will be in Texas for the foreseeable future to help out with the upcoming birth of his first grandchild in late June-Early July. All correspondence for the band should be temporarily directed to: Elm Treason, c/o Realm Tones Music, P.O. Box 424, Cibolo TX 78108 until further notice.

Everything in this weeks newsletter deserves a huge hell yeah and at least fiveWOW’s! And first grand baby is tooth special for words!!
As for song/album it depends on the day and the type of stress: It’s just one of days by Limpbiscuit for angst and blowing off steam; Kashmir by zeppelin if I need musical meditation; Voice of treason if I need to kick back and unwind; i’m all right by Kenny Loggins if I need to re-energize dance and giggle and sing loudly off key lol

John Thomas

Beach Boys always lifts my spirits 😎

Shirley Mason

Forgot to mention awsome you are celebrating issue No 50 on my birthday, Rock on guys, play it loud

Hope to see you soon. enjoy.

The Beatles would be my go to. Pretty much anything by them, I know the words and can sing along. That always cheers me up.

*** Do you get this newsletter via FACEBOOK MESSENGER?***

If you receive the link to this newsletter via Facebook Messenger, you know what kind of problems we’ve been having with automated delivery lately.

Frankly, it’s been supremely annoying.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had to literally send out each link manually… and that is just not efficient in any way, shape or form.

So, we are considering two other options that we will be asking you about over the next week or so… Would you like the link delivered your phone directly as a message from us? Or via email at an address that is operational and won’t send us into your SPAM folder?

We HATE that we have to do this, because Messenger is so convenient for us (and you, too, apparently) … but Facebook has been copping a monster attitude with us in recent weeks.

So, please keep an eye out for a message from us regarding delivery if you currently get this weekly link via Facebook Messenger.

Thanks much!
