GROOVY NOODLES

THE ELM TREASON NEWSLETTER NO. 47

MARCH 11, 2022

Elm Treason News Wire…

ITEM 1 – Thanks to your overwhelming positive feedback, we have decided… YES, we WILL be creating a private Facebook Group! (insert fanfare) We so appreciate your encouragement and input on this. With an invite-only Facebook group, people will not miss anything we post… and our interactions can be far more personalized. Plus there will be lots more exclusive stuff to share. We will keep you posted!

ITEM 2 – For the foreseeable future (a few months), Andy will be in Texas with family. One of his daughters is getting married on the 19th… and another is having a baby in a few months. Andy’s wife will have it no other way. Case closed.

Bobby will hold down the fort in New York.

ITEM 3 – Meanwhile work on the band’s next studio album will continue as much as possible – particularly with artwork, mixing and mastering. Most of it has been recorded already.

(In an exclusive GROOVY NOODLES tidbit, the working title of the album (so far) is “Going Yesterday.”)

Your Input – Let’s do it the OTHER WAY

We loved your responses last week for “Name a Song by your favorite band or artist that you do not like.”

This week, we’ll go the opposite way. We think it’ll be just as much fun..

Name a song you LOOOOOVE by a band or artist you otherwise don’t really care for.

This’ll be good.

Have at it! No judgments. Hit that COMMENTS section!

Exited for you Andy. Family is so important.
I’m indifferent to anything by Brittany Spears except one song that I love very much. “Toxic.”

Victoria Johnson

Not a fan of the Ramones. I know! I know! Might get a lot of flak for that. But I do love ‘Sedated’. It was my party song and can’t hear it now without going totally bonkers party mode. Which makes everyone around me want me to be to sedated. 😄

Nancy

Congrats to both milestones! 👏🏽
And honestly, I have too many “faves by artist” to list! But Lenny by SRV, Into The Mystic by Van Morrison, Kiss by Prince, and a wayback Perfidia by anyone LoL

Bill Boys

I LOVE Into the Mystic!

Shelley Stewart

First of all Andy that is exciting news another wedding and the new baby and your other daughter got married on my birthday so I guess in one way or another your family and I will be celebrating on that day!
My brain seems to be back in full swing so this week’s question is a no brainer, Ripples by Genesis!
Last weeks question a band or singer that you really love but don’t like a song, Blue Highway by Billy Idol. And to revisit one hit wonders sorry but I must get it off my chest, Cath by The Bluebells and The Hooters, And we Danced!
Working title for the new album is giving me a retro maybe cover song vibe?

Mark Caro

I’m not a Dire Straights fan, but I do like that song, So far away from me, a lot.

Not a fan of Bruce, but I love Candy’s room, and the river. Don’t really care about Styx, but crystal ball, and suite madam blue, are the bomb!!

Vincent Peteroy

Interesting…..
Rolling Stones- Jumping Jack Flash

Dennis Downing

I know this will probably freak some out but I’ve never been a big fan of Pink Floyd but I always liked their first record ( See Emily Play). My opinion the best song they ever did.

John Thomas

A Few More Bad Jokes

  • Who’s most likely to be struck by lightning in an orchestra? The conductor.
  • Which musicians are the most relaxed teachers? Trombone players, because they let everything slide.
  • Why is the fish always first chair? Because he knows his scales.
  • Why do thieves always rob instrument stores? They want the lute.
  • Why are electric guitar players the nicest members of a rock band? They always practice random axe of kindness.

We apologize, sincerely.
