Your story on Stairway to Heaven? Back in the 90s a rock station had been bought out and was changing format, REM “the end of the world as we know it” replayed Friday to Monday. I tuned in multiple times

Bill Boys

Many people dislike Steely Dan. I think they are a flawless groove every time. Also, I love Sciattica! They are the nerve center of metal and I can feel them in my bones the same way I experience Spinal Tap. Delighted to hear you’re on Spotify. This could be a really big deal. Very happy for you guys.

I am always baffled when people say they don’t like the Beatles, that’s when I start my lecture of how Important they are in history. My jaw drops too when folks dis ac/dc . I just don’t get it!

Phil

Well I am more baffled in that there are some people who just don’t get or like any sort of music, I don’t worry to much about what people like or not we all have different taste in what ever music that floats our boat and gets us grooving and a moving…Each to their own…

Georgia Satellite’s;
Probably the most fun I’ve ever had at a concert. Every band member sang at least 1 song, with Todd Johnston (Drums) doing the old classic “White Lightning”.
Check out “Battleship Chains”, “Mon Cheri”, “Don’t pass me by” and “Railroad Steel” for a taste.

Three Dog Night;
In my opinion, just about the most underrated band of the early 70’s with 21 songs making billboards top 40 by 1975.
“Shambala”, “Family of Man”, “Black and White” and “Old Fashioned Love Song” to name a few.
And Floyd Sneed (drums) was my inspiration to learn the drums.

RUSH;
Philosophy Rock
2 songs, same album, 2112
“Something for Nothing”
And
“Tears”

Nothing you can dance too. Just 3 guys making incredible music with deep thoughts; “Bravado”, Roll the Bones” “Time Stand Still” and (side A) of 2112.i

Paul F. ILLIG

This is a tough question for me. I like music, all styles and types. There are songs I don’t care for, some songs that have been over-played so much you feel like you’ll puke the next time you hear it, but generally I like it all. When the music is good or when you can relate to it in some fashion, it gets to you. I guess it’s an individual thing. we are all different yet united by certain songs. I feel like I’m diving into the well to deep, so I’ll stop here. Rock on!

Three More VERY BAD Musician Jokes

We apologize ahead of time…

  1. Why shouldn’t you let kids watch big band performances on TV? Too much sax and violins.
  2. What concert costs 45 cents? 50 Cent featuring Nickelback.
  3. Wanna hear a joke about a staccato? Never mind, it’s too short.

ROMAN AROUND

From the pen of Andy Roman….

This week, Andy writes about the time a radio programmer was a little less than kind to the band.
