First on the Agenda for ’22
Greetings all!
We truly hope your holiday season was a blast! We wish each and every one of you a marvelously prosperous, healthy, fulfilling and (perhaps, most importantly), a music-rich 2022.
Next week, we resume ELM TREASON business at full throttle.
We will be looking to bring more people into the Elm Treason fold with a FREE CD giveaway later this month. (This proved amazingly successful the last time we did this. It generated a ton of sales for us – which, of course enables us to stay in business).
We will also be working a t-shirt extravaganza campaign for February. We will be offering all kinds of new t-shirt designs (and not just ELM TREASON shirts) that will NOT be available in our online store… all at discount prices.
Finally, work on our fifth studio album continues. We will be launching a MASSIVE new album campaign for that later in the year.
There will be more, of course – we’re hoping for two LIVE FACEBOOK shows this year – but for now, a tasty “to do” list, indeed!

Blondie co-founder and guitarist Chris Stein celebrated his 72nd birthday on Wednesday.
Country Joe McDonald turned 80 on New Year’s Day.
Police guitarist Andy Summers also turned 80 on New Year’s Day.

This is togh one… I like Slash,Rod Stewart… So many great names…of course Freddie Mercury…. Janis Joplin…. I’m not sure f I’m getting into people I love,or strictly their names….hmmmm. I’m thinking of being Stroke McCain, aka Big Richard… Get it?? Lol!!

I (Andy) have the same difficulty sometimes if I’m trying to be honest… is it REALLY the name I dig…or the artist.
For instance, while I do like the Grateful Dead, I am not necessarily a SUPERFAN… but the band name is just OUTSTANDING. One of my favorite bits of rock and roll nomenclature ever.

Ok, so many, but it’s a toss up for me between The Band and Talking Heads
Love both of those names … “The Band” for its simple brilliance… and the Talking Heads for reasons I can’t quantify…but I know I love the name. LOL.

Yeah, these are all tasty rock and roll names… even Dirk Diggler, if not a ficticious porn legend, would have been a pretty cool rock star name.

Great news letter guys,have enjoyed them all,band names where do i start, so many, Joy Division, London Grammar , The National, Parcels, Bowie, sooo many to choose.
So PLEASED you’re digging the newsletters, Shirl. That does our hearts a whole lot of good to hear. 🙂 Frankly, we can’t believe we’ve been this consistent with them. We haven’t missed a week yet. That IN ITSELF may prove the existance of some higher being… LOL.

Honestly, although it never occured to us at the time, we literally could have used our last names as the band name: “ROMAN STEEL.” It actually has a cool ring to it, as many have pointed out.

Of course, “Elm Treason” is just in the DNA now. Well branded. Wouldn’t change that now, even if we could.
