Gratitude

We know that our friends and fans outside the US are not celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend, but it’s a big one for us here. Sometimes, we tend to get a bit mushy this time of year (in a cool rock and roll sort of way, of course).

So, for what it’s worth, we want to tell you how grateful we are to be able to live this life in music and to be able to share it with you. It’s rewarding. Exciting and inspiring. We are lucky to have you. Honestly.

We sincerely offer our best wishes to you and yours for the remainder of the year and beyond.

Thank you.

Your Input: Best front man?

With the 30th anniversary of Freddie Mercury’s death this past week, we came across some seriously spirited debates online about who the best front man (or woman) ever in rock and roll was/is. Some of the give and take we came across was pretty damn….. lively.

Who is rock and roll’s premiere front man?

GREAT version of Crayon! Smoking hot guitar work and awesome lyrics. Vocals sound really full and rich.

Frontmen: it’s a hard question but let’s look at longevity…McCartney’s been a frontman for 64 years and Mick has been doing it for 59 years. Objectively, I gotta go with Mick.

Sooo many great front men through the years, I’m sticking with the one that captivated my attention at a very young age, The King, Elvis Presley.

Ronald Swanson

I think that most of the great frontmen/women brought something unique to the band. To compare across them is like comparing apples to oranges to kiwi to bananas. Freddie Mercury was doubtless the greatest showman frontmen with an incredible voice. Janis Joplin has to be included for the pure soul and emotion she brought to her music. You can’t forget Robert Plant. Would Zeppelin be Zeppelin without him? Some were truly the voice of the band; Danny Joe Brown (Molly Hatchet), Stevie Nicks, Lou Gramm (Foreigner), Ric Ocasek (The Cars), and Dennis De Young (Styx) all come to mind. This is a debate that will rage on forever!

Couldn’t agree with you more, Ron
