TREASON NOODLES

OTHER NOODLES

Skid Row have split with singer Erik Gronwall and announced that Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale will fill in for a handful of their shows later this year.

Jeremy Allen White is reportedly in talks to play Bruce Springsteen  in a film about the making of ‘Nebraska.’

Grateful Dead will celebrate the 50th anniversary of their “Mars Hotel” album with a three-disc “Deluxe Edition” that includes bonus tracks. In addition to the remastered original LP from 1974, the expanded 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition includes two demo recordings from the era and a complete, previously unreleased concert from that year’s tour in support of the album.

Stray Cats have announced dates for a summer tour that starts on July 27 in Woodinville, Washington, and concludes on Aug. 17 in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

– A brand new documentary about the Beach Boys will arrive on Disney+ on May 24. Directed by Frank Marshall and Thom Zimny, The Beach Boys chronicles the band’s rise to fame through never-before-seen footage, plus new interviews with Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, David Marks, Bruce Johnston and more.

Pete Townshend has commented on the Who’s future, suggesting the legendary act may get back on the road for an extensive farewell tour. “It feels to me like there’s one thing the Who can do,” the rocker explained to The New York Times, “and that’s a final tour where we play every territory in the world and then crawl off to die.”

Black Sabbath will revisit their oft-overlooked Tony Martin era with the upcoming “Anno Domini 1989-1995″ box set. The collection arrives on May 31 in four-LP and four-CD configurations. It will feature newly remastered versions of 1989’s “Headless Cross,” 1990’s “Tyr” and 1994’s “Cross Purposes,” plus a new version of 1995’s “Forbidden” that guitarist Tony Iommi remixed specially for the collection.

Pearl Jam is offering listeners an early preview of their upcoming album, “Dark Matter,” by playing it in select movie theaters around the world for one night only on April 16th.

Your Answer Is…

Hi, Treasonites!

A couple of week’s back, we asked you guys to write something nice about a guitar that looked like “who-did-it-and-ran.” It was a TON of fun. Some of the best responses we’ve ever gotten.

Participation was high. We laughed a whole lot.

So, we thought we’d give it another go. This time, we’re looking to make a splash with a crash.

Here’s the play … you’re being asked to write copy for this cymbal. You will make a fortune if it sells. You must operate under the old adage: “if you can’t say something nice, say nothing at all.”

You ;pick up pen and paper (or laptop) and you write:

ELM TREASON SONG OF THE WEEK

ALL OVER ME

This song is from our fourth studio album “THE VOICE OF TREASON.” A gem from the Treason playbook. Great guitar work from Bobby. Tantalizing instrumentation. And the harmonies on the chorus Andy calls “My favorite harmonies we’ve done.”

Andy: “When we sing the words ‘It’s done. All over. See, it’s so overdone.’ On the word “see,” I just get the tingles. Always.”

And damn… that main riff cooks.
