– Paul McCartney’s long lost bass, the famous Hofner 500/1, has finally been returned to the Beatle after being missing for over 50 years. “Following the launch of last year’s Lost Bass project, Paul’s 1961 Hofner 500/1 bass guitar, which was stolen in 1972, has been returned,” a statement on McCartney’s website reads. “The guitar has been authenticated by Hofner and Paul is incredibly grateful to all those involved.”
– Ian Hunter will release the sequel to last year’s “Defiance Part 1” album on April 19. Like the first part, “Defiance Part 2: Fiction” will feature a star-packed lineup of artists assisting the 84-year-old Hunter. In addition to appearances by the late Jeff Beck and Taylor Hawkins, the album includes guest spots by members of the Black Crowes, Cheap Trick, Def Leppard and Pearl Jam. “Defiance Part 2: Fiction” also features Johnny Depp, who painted the album’s cover.
Your Answer Is…
Hi, Treasonites!
This week, instead of the fairly common question “What was the last song you listened to?” we thought we’d personalize it a bit.
Rather, we’d love to hear the last song you specifically chose to hear – one you consciously picked to listen to – whether from a playlist or a CD or a song on your phone… whatever.
So, if someone asks you: “What’s the last song you purposely chose to hear?”
Your answer is:
Another Year Gone
Birthdays over the past week…
Turning 91 last Sunday was Yoko Ono
Actor – and yes, singer – John Travolta turned 70 last Sunday

Just minutes ago…”I’m Shakin'” Jack White….next up “Off the Ground” The Record Company
I (Andy) dig your style, Michael.
Funny, I was doing dishes and did not know what I felt like listening to as well trying to think of some like minded play lists for my phone…So this is an easy one; Drops of Jupiter, by Train So is it just me or has everyone lost a guitar and got it back?? I am not usually cynical but it is starting to sound like an urban myth when someone gets a guitar returned after sooo many year!
Good question!
I (Andy) think most of us who have spent a great deal of our lives, playing guitar have lost one… Or have had one stolen, like Bobby did.
There’s even been a story recently in the news about Paul McCartney getting his long lost bass back after 50 years.
I don’t think most of us get back our lost guitars… But it sure is one hell of a story, ain’t it?
Anthony Gomes’ “Peace, Love and Loud Guitars.”
Love Anthony!! ☮️????????
Peace, love and loud guitars.
That’s one hell of a Trinity, brother.
Oblivion by Softspoken
Wonderful tune.
And definitely not an attribute possessed by the boys of Elm Treason. L O L.
Dear Prudence
Hopefully, she will come out to play.
I pulled up Dance The Night Away by The Mavericks today on YouTube. Seeing your pic at ELO 2017 made me want to tell you that about 40 years prior to that I went to my first concert at the Philadelphia Spectrum to see them on the Out Of The Blue tour.
How amazing that must’ve been to see them in their prime like that.
Fantastic, Anthony.
Mister Blue, Bob Carpenter..
Not familiar with that one, Ellen!
Time to go, exploring!
Rush Natural Science
Hell to the yes!
Billy Joel –
Turn the Lights Back on…
I (Andy) am digging that one as well.
What a Wonderful World – Louis Armstrong. I was flipping channels on the radio and chose this one.
Before that it was Emma Louise and Husky doing a great version of Sound of Silence on YouTube.
Love their version.
Since I (Andy) was a little boy, Louis Armstrong‘s version of that song has meant a lot to me. It is tied to a ton of fantastic memories.
“Days Of Wine and Roses” by Jackie Gleason Orchestra
Was actually the album “Rocks” Aerosmith, just a couple days ago ????
