TREASON NOODLES

– Work on the band’s next music video continues.

– The band has decided that “funny memes” will not be a part of their main Facebook page anymore. Andy says, “People are following our main Facebook page for the funny memes and are increasingly ignoring the purpose of the page – to promote and gain exposure for the band’s music. We now have to pay fees just to get our music distributed to those who are inclined to actually listen to what Elm Treason does. We can’t do that anymore. We’re defeating our own purposes. The “meme” stategy worked once upon a time, but the algorithm is different now and it’s been steadily hurting us. We are not a meme factory or a comedy site. We are a band. We make music. We are getting back to that on our main page and are re-training the algorithm accordingly. I’m talking only about the band’s main Facebook page. The private group (Uptown Q) is different and will operate as it always has. The newsletter is fine as it is, too. But the main page has ceased to be a cartoon depot.”

OTHER NOODLES

Ann Wilson brought out a special guest at her concert Tuesday night, October 10th: her sister and former bandmate Nancy Wilson. “Ladies and gentlemen, we have the answer to a question with us tonight,” Ann Wilson said from the stage. “A very, very good friend — more than a friend … let’s bring her out. Come on.”

Tool bassist Justin Chancellor has revealed that the prog-metal giants have begun writing material for the follow-up to their 2019 album, “Fear Inoculum.”

Paul Rodgers said that Bad Company is not done and expressed optimism that the band may tour again one day. The group’s last performance took place on October 18, 2019, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Donald Fagen is reportedly out of the hospital following an unspecified illness that forced Steely Dan to withdraw from several tour stops.

– The Eagles were joined by Steely Dan as their opening act during the first few weeks of their “Long Goodbye” tour. But due to illness within Steely Dan, the Steve Miller Band will temporarily serve as a replacement.

Guns N’ Roses have announced two Los Angeles concerts with special guests the Black Keys, which will take place November 1st and 2nd.

Judas Priest will release a new album titled “Invincible Shield” on March 8.

Bruce Springsteen has rescheduled recently postponed tour dates for next year. All of his 2023 concerts were suddenly halted in late September so he could undergo treatment for peptic ulcer disease.

Your Answer Is…

Hello Treasonites!

This week’s question…

What was the last album or individual song you PAID MONEY FOR? Doesn’t matter if its CD, Vinyl, Download, whatever… But NOT LIVE MUSIC (concerts don’t count here).

Someone asks you: “What’s the last music you dropped some coin on?”

Your answer is….

It’s been a while.
The year he died, I bought a Tom Petty T-shirt at a concert.

Nancy

Elm Treason’s latest & greatest “Without A Tribe”! Before that, The Condriacs (a UK duo with a soulful sound). And I think the next will be Anthony Gomes.
I’m so, so, so enjoying my musical finds from FB! 🥰🤩🥰

Curtis White

Just this afternoon I downloaded When Rivers Meet latest album, Aces Are High. Due to a haphazard record keeping “system”… it seems I got 3 copies (crowdfunded it, then seem to have bought 2 other copies along the long road to release date.) It’s a theme; I often buy 2 copies of something coming out. I’ll have to upgrade my system.

Alan Seger

Elm Treason. But that’s probably not the answer you are looking for. The last CD I bought was David Bowie – Blackstar. And prior to that was Alanis Morrissette – Jagged Little Pill.

Anthony J Rutigliano

Yesterday I bought The Cramps- The Creature From The Black Leather Lagoon LP.

shelley stewart

I love it!!!!I do not think that there are many of us who own any of The Cramps on vinyl or even cd! Right on!!!

Classic Albums… BAD Reviews

Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin (1969)

“[Jimmy Page is] a very limited producer and a writer of weak, unimaginative songs… …if [Led Zep are] to help fill the void created by the demise of Cream, they will have to find a producer (and editor) and some material worthy of their collective attention.”
-John Mendelsohn, Rolling Stone.

The Beatles, Abbey Road (1969)

“An unmitigated disaster.”
-Nik Cohn, The New York Times.

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Déjà vu (1970)

“The heralded leather cover turns out to be nothing more than crimpled cardboard. What a milestone – fake leatherette!”
-Langdon Winner, Rolling Stone.

Simon And Garfunkel, Bridge Over Troubled Water (1970)

“…nearly all of [the] songs [are] hopelessly mediocre.”
-Gregg Mitchell, Rolling Stone.

AC DC, High Voltage (1976)

“Those concerned with the future of hard rock may take solace in knowing that with the release of the first U.S. album by these Austalian gross-out champions, the genre has unquestionably hit its all-time low. ”
-Billy Altman, Rolling Stone.
