THE ELM TREASON NEWSLETTER NUMBER 116

OCTOBER 6, 2023

TREASON NOODLES

– Work continues on ELM TREASON’S next music video. Which song is it? Hmmmm… (No release date is set yet, but look for a late October drop.

– New UPTOWN Q t-shirts are in the works.

– And speaking of t-shirts…. a really cool idea is in the works for a shirt that involves YOU – but not in a way that’s been done before. It’s a “WITHOUT A TRIBE” 2024 TOUR t-shirt… even though the band is NOT going on tour (unfortunately). It’s a REALLY COOL idea. More details to come soon.

OTHER NOODLES

– The Eagles have extended their “Long Goodbye” farewell tour by adding two concerts at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum in early January.

Yes will release an expanded box set edition of their breakthrough 1971 LP “The Yes Album” on November 24th. The Super Deluxe edition of the album will contain four CDs, a Blu-ray disc and a vinyl LP

Roger Waters‘ remake of Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon,” after much discussion and controversy, is finally released on Friday, October 5th.

Stevie Nicks said she sees “no reason” for Fleetwood Mac to continue without Christine McVie. “Without her, what is it?” she said.

Geddy Lee of Rush will embark on a North American spoken-word tour this November. “My Effin’ Life in Conversation” will begin on Nov. 13 in New York and conclude on December 7th in Toronto. The run will support Lee’s upcoming memoir of the same name, which arrives on November 14th.

Foo Fighters have announced a run of North American stadium dates as part of their “Everything or Nothing at All” 2024 tour. The tour begins on July 17th in New York and concludes on August 18th in Seattle. The band will be supported variously by the Pretenders, Mammoth WVH, L7, the Hives, Amyl and the Sniffers and Alex G.

Porno for Pyros has postponed their reunion tour less than a week before it was scheduled to begin. In a statement, the band explained that the tour will instead be pushed back “a few months” so that they can finish preparing new material.

Aerosmith has postponed the remaining dates of their “Peace Out” farewell tour until 2024 due to Steven Tyler’s ongoing health issues. “Unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought.”

At the moment it’s a tune called Taylor’s Rock done by Sonny Landreth, I put it on repeat all the time and for some reason it just makes me float.

Tom Jeffire

Poncho and Lefty by Townes Van Zandt. It just sort of makes me happy (which is weird as it is essentially a sad tale).

Wild Thing, The Troggs! I no doubt have a million more but I went with the first song that came into my head and for the first time I am not going to give multiple answers…although, I could mention a few Elm treason tunes as Well!

Peggy McChesney

Thunderstruck

Ronald Swanson

Pretty much any Pink Floyd song off any Pink Floyd album. For example, I have listened to both DSOTM and The Wall ad nauseum (according to my wife and children for months at a time.

Patricia Rose

Dance with my father! Luther VanDross

Vincent Peteroy

Led Zeppelin – Kashmir
Rush – Tom Sawyer

Katie

The first song that popped into my mind was Smooth by Santana. Never got tired of that song eventhough it was way overplayed.
