TREASON NOODLES

– Elm Treason’s “WITHOUT A TRIBE” album saw it’s initial limited release this week via digital download to those who pre-ordered the album in July. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive to this point.

-The boys are looking to gather comments and impressions of “WITHOUT A TRIBE” to be used on web pages and as “social proof” for upcoming general audience promotions. If you have any opinions, reflections or commentary to share on the new album, please email us at groovynoodles@elmtreason.com

New Pre-order announcements for the album’s general release on August 14th will begin next week through the band’s main Facebook page. Unfortunately, some of the items offered during the initial pre-order phase of “first-dibs” friends and fans (those on our mailing list, members of the Uptown Q Facebook group and Groovy Noodles subscribers) are no longer available. (See? It pays to get in early).

-CDs and vinyl for those who pre-ordered “WITHOUT A TRIBE” will begin shipping next week.

You Say: I Plead Guilty

Hello Treasonites!

Here’s one we posted on our main Facebook page, but it was impossible to interact with people there… so we brought it into this more intimate setting.

Personally,  a “guilty pleasure” song really is meaningless. If we like it, we like it…if we don’t, we don’t.

But we’re here to have some fun…

The connotation of a “guilty pleasure” song is one that we “shouldn’t” like, but we do. REALLY do. It’s out of genre. It’s not normally our style.

For instance. “I hate disco, but I really like that one Bee Gees song….” something like that.

Or “I hate rap, but I love ‘Funky Cold Medina.'”

Bobby might say “I Saw the Sign” by Ace of Base.

Andy might say “I Feel Love” by Donna Summer.

Someone comes up to you and asks you, “What is your GUILTY PLEASURE song?”

You say….

Mmm Bop and Never Gonna Give You Up.
But really, any fun catchy tune that people think is a brainless waste. But it’s a guilty pleasure for the exact reason – it takes no deep thought or heavy feels. Too much going on in life to wanna think hard or feel too much to enjoy the music 🎶
