– Lynyrd Skynyrd’s final concert with founding guitarist Gary Rossington will screen in movie theaters across the U.S. in July. The concert film, titled “The 50th Anniversary of Lynyrd Skynyrd,” will celebrate the band’s enduring legacy, while also honoring Rossington, who died on March 5.

– Rod Stewart has clarified comments he recently made about abandoning rock music. “I’m not retiring,” he said in a BBC interview earlier this month. “But I want to move on to … I had great success with “The Great American Songbook,” all-American standards, and I’ve just done a swing album with Jools Holland, which is going to come out next year, so I want to go in that direction. I just want to leave all the rock ‘n’ roll stuff behind — for a while, maybe.”

– Richie Sambora has emphatically denied any current plans for a reunion with Bon Jovi, despite a recent flurry of rumors to the contrary.

– Bruce Springsteen has recorded a follow-up to his 2022 soul covers album “Only the Strong Survive,” keyboardist David Sancious said. “I’ve just worked on Bruce’s sequel,” Sancious said. “He’s got 18 more covers of Motown and classic R&B. And next year, I should be touring the album with Bruce.”
