Your Answer Is…
Hi Treasonites!
Sometimes our favorites bands and artists are precisely who we go to when we’re feeling good and need music to match that high.
Other times, there are specific performers who may not necessarily be our favorites, but deliver the perfect “feel good” vibes we need at that moment.
Someone comes up to you and asks, “Who is your GO-TO FEEL-GOOD band or artist?”
Your answer is…

Sweet. Thanks, Tom!
Genesis
Very cool.
Is there a specific era of the band? Peter Gabriel years? Phil Collins years? All of the above?
Bob Seger Pre 1978 (Stranger In Town)
I (Andy) know The four big Seger albums My heart because when I was a little kid, my mom played them all incessantly…

Meatloaf
I (Andy) Actually, a couple of people who have meatloaf as their go to feel good music.
Very nice, Patricia.
One of those questions that can draw different answers at different points in one`s life……….One Band though, that for nearly 55 years has been a band that I play when I am in a great mood and want to bump it up a notch or add extra energy to my already great mood is>>>>>>>>
Humble Pie
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqgslos32mk
Outstanding, Rick.
Thanks so much for your response. Love it.
The Beach Boys
Very cool.
I was always in the minority amongst my circle of friends growing up who thought the beach boys had great records in the 60s.
I get around… Fun, fun fun… In my room… Just great records.
Elm Treason if coarse.
❤️❤️
(The money will be in the usual place, Near the schoolyard, behind the building, under the church bell… Small bills. As always).
HEAD
SHOP a band of puresixties I put together in 1988. We played the Manchester NH area for 27 yrs. YAHOO Y’ALL
Appreciate that much, Donald.
Sounds amazing!
Any links to your stuff?
Well it was Bob Dylan until recently then I discovered these two great guitar slingers and now it’s and I truly mean this Elm Treason I’ve been having some issues health and when I get down I listen to one of two of your albums that I own and my toes start tapping and my mood vastly improves your beautiful music just reaches me on so many levels it just grabs me and fills my souls and I love it I just wish you were playing somewhere near my neck of the woods I would come and see you play in a heartbeat I’m sorry I didn’t mean to get all heavy and stuff and I didn’t mean for the answer to be 9 miles long I was just trying to answer your question honestly
that’s beautiful. So glad our music resonates with you on so many levels.
Wow.
I (Andy) got the chills reading that.
Most sincerely.
I was going to make the joke that I had made earlier in this thread about making sure the money was in the same place as always…
Unfortunately, I don’t think I have a response sufficient enough to match the impact of your comment here.
I will have to echo Bobby’s sentiments and say I am as pleased as a mosquito at a nudist convention that our stuff connects with you, David.
It means everything to us. Truly.
We try to create records that are little adventures… Little journeys… A smorgasbord of textures and vibes.
Whether or not we accomplish that is up to the listener… But that’s our goal… To have people dive deeply into our catalog and find favorites, and Hopefully, have the music become a part of listening routine.
Tremendous thanks, David. Sincerely.
It’s great to have you as part of the family.
They’re not in the industry anymore, but when I need to get pumped up, it’s KLF time! They still can make my toes tap away.
Excellent. Music is timeless.
So whether or not they still exist, the music lives on forever.
Third World
That is all kinds of cool, Ira.
Thanks so much.
Elm Treason, of course!
of course 🙂
ElmTreason first, Tanita Tikurum for happy relaxing vibes.
nice! Tanita sounds intriguing; will have to check out.
Hi Shirl!
You got me smiling wide, sister.
Thank you so much. Absolutely stoked that a couple of guitar bangers from the Big Apple are your go to feel good vibe.
❤️❤️
And like Bobby, I’m going to check out Taniya Tikurum
Lately it has been Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band. They are great and just get you moving
Hi Jody!
What a great name. That alone would get me in the door.
Lately I’ve been having a love affair with Röyksopp
And when I need to vent out my frustration, Scandanavian Viking Extreme Metal does just fine. Wholesome lads; although they sing a little too much about the guy downstairs. 😀
Mr. Poposoplous in 3C?
LED ZEPPELIN
I knew someone somewhere in the Elm Treason family was going to pick Led Zeppelin.
Had to be!
Thanks so much, brother.
Many groups…but the goto is RUSH
Simply delicious!
Thanks, Keith
Tonight it’s Billy Joel! Hope to hear Piano Man in its entirety this time.
🤣🤣🤣
What the hell were they thinking?
It was the “Heidi bowl” all over again (very obscure football reference from 1968)
Got it!
So many bands and artists for so many moods! Definitely STING. And if I want to feel upbeat and happy, I’ll go for Chicago, and a little, ‘ Saturday I the Park’ and of course Elm treason is my new go to!
The Dire Straits, Coldplay, Carly Simon, and I’m not sure if you’ve heard of this band…. a bluegrass-vibe. NICKEL CREEK. The Eagles, the Bee Gees, I may even throw in some Charlie Brown jazz Christmas tunes ha ha. 🙂
I (Andy) love your buffet of musical delights.
I suppose people may simply have a feel good go-to playlist They have created as opposed to just one artist.
Very nice, April.
And a true honor to throw in Elm Treason with that killer lot.
Thank you so much.
I do not have an artist/band for this, but I have a playlist; old am ’70’s playlist! Included are old funky Neil Diamond, Dr. Hook, Ray Charles, Jim Stafford, Johnny Rivers and Polk Salad Annie by tony Joe White is a MUST!!!
The universe just threw me (Andy) for a loop, Shelley.
I had been responding to the comments here and had just finished reading April’s (above) when I acknowledged that perhaps there is no single go-to artist For some people… That maybe folks have created playlists of feel good jams.
And then the very next comment I read is you talking about creating a playlist.
Spooky cool.
I will just say, go and find some good music that you love and be open to all sorts. Blues…Zydeco..Old and new rock and roll. Country and folk…Go for it. Whatever, it is waiting to be discovered.
That is the best advice of all.
Whatever your jam, whatever your plan, whatever your Vibe, however, you ride, just slip away into the music… And be sure to play loud… But always listen louder.
Thanks, Ellen!
All of them 🤣, yeah baby
Iggy and the stooges, Raw Power usually jazzes me up pretty good,
Yous guys usually make me smile as well
Oh, so many, as Rick noted below. Depends on the mood. Can’t pick just one. But Elm Treason has definitely joined the list! Great driving music. (The fact that the CDs are in my car on heavy rotation *might* have something to do with that.)
More than a few go to’s for me but I tend to gravitate towards Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Mark Selby, The Record Company, The Cult and then my new found go to feel good band Elm Treason. Not kissing up, just a fact. “Firefly, firefly…””Bom Bom Boom…” Throw in some Eric Steckel and of course, Marbin.
