Christmas music is OK for about 2 weeks or so,then you can turn it off for the rest of the year. I worked at Jewel, and they played that shit for about 2 months… Now I don’t care if I never hear that crap again!!!
You are NOT alone, Joe…. I (Andy) definitely agree that anything before Thanksgiving just doesn’t work for me. Let THANKSGIVING BREATHE, if you know what I mean… That being said, I’ve heard NO XMAS music to this point… I’m neck deep in Treason stuff these days. Rock on!
Very happy about Bare Tones. Thanks for the update!
Hi Bill! How have you been? I (Andy) must personally apologize for being a bit “out of commission” on things. I haven’t been quite as chatty, prepping for shipments and final BARE TONES business. Please know that we are honored to have you as freidn to this band.
Not a problem, at all, Andy, I’m delighted you have something awesome to be busy about.
Lol! Always brings me to a happier mood!
Awww, we LOVE hearing that Carolyn. TRULY DO. Thank you.
Any time one would like. I say.
Now THAT is the spirit, brother. We LOVE that you have that attitude. You rock, brother.
yes especially charlie brown
I (Andy) have watched that special every years since I can remember. It’s in the DNA.
As far as Christmas music goes my rule is black Friday. Always after Thanksgiving. But I also believe a one or two songs here and there throughout the year isn’t terrible. As far as an elm Treason Christmas album? I’d be the first in line. Let me know and I’m immediately pre ordering.
Hey Jared! I (Andy) am a (sort of, kind of) firm believer in letting Thanksgiving breathe its own air, if that makes sense. I hate that it gets crowded out…. but I am with you…. a few tunes now and again is of no harm. And as we approach Christmas, the music becomes more and more enjoyable.
Incidentally, Bobby and I do have four Christmas songs in the can…. two originals and two covers…. enough for an EP, to be sure… Maybe one day. 🙂
Christmas music?
Well if its Dr Demento’d like;
“I want a Hippocampus for Christmas”
“12 days of Christmas” Bob and Doug Mckenzie
“I saw Daddy kissing Santa Claus” by Kim Addotta
“Dragnet Christmas”
And lol
“Let’s have a Drug Free Christmas this year.
Forget Cocaine try Eggnog, the same is pretty near. . .
By Tim Cavanagh
I’m intrigued by the title “I want a Hippocampus for Christmas.” For some reason, I can’t remember if I’ve heard it or not.
Now THIS is a playlist I’d have on repeat. Love it, John.
Not for me. When you hear the same songs over and over at work you want to shoot yourself lol
i hear ya. I want people to enjoy their Christmas music, but if I had a time machine, I’d have to end the writer of the Little Drummer Boy.
B-rump-b-bum-bum went the pistol…
LOL
I (Andy) would agree that OVER AND OVER is enough to have me jab ice picks into my lobes…. VARIETY, baby!
I love Christmas music…. From December 1st through December 25th. I must confess there are a few carols I have on one of my playlists that will pop up now and again throughout the year. BUT they aren’t the conventional carols heard on the radio. Judge me. I don’t care. Lol
Judge you? Never. I (Andy) dig your style, Lisa. VERY VERY much. What carols, if I may ask?
Hey, it’s a free country! You do you, listen to Christmas music when you want…you might lose some friends along the way but then again, maybe they weren’t your friends to begin with. That’s my 2 cents worth. Merry Christmas!
Our hero, Paul! LOVE IT, LOVE IT. “You do you.”
Score.
